Bu isteklerin hiçbirine kimliğini belirleyen bir bilgi eklenmez: hesap, e-posta, cihaz kimliği veya reklam kimliği gönderilmez.
Etiket fotoğrafı sunucumuza gelir, oradan analiz için Google Gemini API'ye iletilir ve yapılandırılmış metin (ürün adı, içindekiler, besin değerleri) olarak geri döner.
Barkod taramasında fotoğraf gönderilmez.
Kamera izni yalnızca barkod okumak ve etiket fotoğrafı çekmek için istenir. Galeri izni, var olan bir fotoğrafı analiz için seçmek istediğinde istenir. Arka planda kayıt yapılmaz, izinsiz erişim olmaz.
Uygulamada 0–6 ay, 6–12 ay gibi yaş grubu seçenekleri bulunur. Bunlar bir yetişkinin, bir çocuk için ürün değerlendirmesi yapmasını sağlar; çocuklardan veri toplamaz. Uygulama 13 yaş altına yönelik değildir.
BiteScan'in verdiği skorlar ve uyarılar ürün etiketine ve açık veritabanlarına dayanır. Tıbbi tavsiye değildir. Alerji, çölyak, fenilketonüri, diyabet, böbrek hastalığı gibi durumlarda her zaman ürünün kendi etiketini kontrol et ve hekimine danış. Etiket verisi eksik veya hatalı olabilir; yapay zekâ okuması hata payı taşır.
Verilerinin tamamı cihazında olduğu için silmek tamamen senin kontrolünde: uygulama içinden Profil → Geçmişi temizle ile geçmişini, uygulamayı kaldırarak tüm veriyi silersin. Bizde silinecek bir kaydın yok.

In short: no account, no tracking, no ads. Your profile and scan history stay on your phone. We store no user data on our servers.
Language, dietary preference, allergen list, goal, age group, health conditions, and scan history are kept in local storage on your phone and are never transmitted. Health conditions and age group are sensitive data, which is exactly why they never leave the device — all warnings are computed locally.
Three requests only: (1) the barcode number to Open Food Facts when you scan;
(2) the first words of a product name to Open Food Facts to suggest alternatives;
(3) your label photo to bitescan.expo.app, but only when you ask for
photo analysis. No account, e-mail, device identifier or advertising ID is attached
to any of these.
A label photo is forwarded from our server to the Google Gemini API and returned as structured text. We do not store the photo — it is discarded once the request completes. Google's handling is governed by its own terms. Barcode scanning sends no photo.
Camera access is used only to read barcodes and photograph labels. Photo library access is requested only when you choose an existing image to analyse. Nothing is recorded in the background.
No account, e-mail, phone number, name, location, contacts, calendar, messages, advertising identifier, or analytics. The app contains no analytics SDK.
Age-group options (0–6 months and up) exist so an adult can evaluate a product for a child. No data is collected from children. The app is not directed at users under 13.
Scores and warnings are derived from product labels and open databases and are not medical advice. For allergies, celiac disease, PKU, diabetes or kidney disease, always check the product's own label and consult your doctor. Label data can be incomplete or wrong, and AI reading carries a margin of error.
All your data is on your device. Clear it in-app via Profile → Clear history, or delete the app to remove everything. We hold no record to erase.
